Welcome to RatanMarts ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and share your information when you use our mobile application (RatanMarts Customer App) and related quick-commerce grocery delivery services.
1. Information We Collect
When you use the RatanMarts application, we collect information necessary to process orders and deliver groceries swiftly:
A. Personal Information
- Phone Number: Used for secure OTP-based mobile authentication and order communication.
- Full Name: Used to identify customer delivery orders.
- Delivery Address & Landmark: Required for physical delivery dispatch to your doorstep.
B. Location Data (Foreground & Background when placing orders)
- Precise & Coarse Location: We collect your GPS location to determine store delivery eligibility, assign orders to the nearest local dark store/hub, and facilitate accurate doorstep delivery. Location is captured only upon user confirmation.
C. Transaction & Order Information
- List of items ordered, prices, total amounts, delivery timestamps, delivery OTP, and payment method selected (Cash on Delivery / Online Payment).
D. Device & Technical Data
- Device model, operating system version, and Push Notification tokens (FCM) to deliver live order status updates (e.g., Packed, Dispatched, Delivered).
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for the following legitimate purposes:
- To fulfill, pack, dispatch, and deliver your grocery orders to your selected address.
- To send real-time order tracking notifications and delivery OTP verification.
- To offer customer helpline and support regarding orders, missing items, or refunds.
- To ensure safety, prevent fraud, and comply with applicable laws.
3. Third-Party Service Providers
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal data to third parties. We share data only with trusted infrastructure providers required to operate our service:
- Google Firebase (Alphabet Inc.): Cloud database, authentication, file storage, and push notifications.
- Google Maps Platform: Geocoding, reverse geocoding, and address suggestions.
- Razorpay Payment Gateway: Secure, PCI-DSS certified payment processing (we do not store your debit/credit card numbers or UPI PINs on our servers).
4. In-App Account & Data Deletion (Google Play Compliance)
In accordance with Google Play Data Safety policies, users have full control over their account and personal data:
- In-App Deletion: You can delete your account permanently at any time by going to My Profile > Delete Account (खाता हटाएं).
- Permanent Removal: Once deleted, your phone number, saved addresses, active cart, and personal profile data are permanently erased from our databases.
- Web Deletion Request: You may also request account and data removal by emailing us at ratanmarts.official@gmail.com with your registered phone number.
5. Data Security
We implement strict technical and organizational security measures, including HTTPS encryption in transit, Firebase Security Rules access controls, and secure session tokens, to protect your personal data from unauthorized access or disclosure.
6. Children's Privacy
Our application is intended for general audiences and is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Any updates will be reflected with a revised "Effective Date" at the top of this document.
